A terraced, property in a conservation area, Basingstoke
Conservation areas are important. And here at Box Clever Sash Windows, we can help with retaining character and handling Article 4 Directives. This customer had a terraced property in Basingstoke which was in a designated Conservation Area. However, somehow, the original windows had been replaced (20 years ago) with inappropriate plastic "tilt and turn" windows. We agreed with our customer that this was totally ruining the authentic look of the property and needed to be updated.
Our expert team set to work and we obtained planning permission on behalf of the customer for the installation of timber-alternative, sliding sash windows in the style that the property would have originally had.
Then our installation team took over and we fitted the Basinstoke property with all new traditional internal architraves and mouldings.
