Arched Timber Sash Windows West London
Our customer got in touch as they were looking to replace the ageing sash and casement windows in their property as part of a full refurbishment. Retaining the character of the property was important, nowhere more so than the bay windows at the front, with arched heads and architrave which would need to be exactly replicated. The timberwork on the interior of the bays would also need to be replaced with the same attention to detail.
After a visit from Tony to demonstrate the ranges of uPVC and Timber sash windows we have to offer, the customer decided on the Bereco Traditional Timber Sash Windows, which were the perfect fit. For the rear of the property, the decision was made to use the UPVC Bygone Harmony Range of sash windows, with a custom Anthracite Grey wood foil finish on the exterior.
Both ranges are high quality, efficient sash windows with extensive long-term guarantees. You can see further images of installations we have carried out using these sash windows in our gallery. Acoustic laminated glass was specified in the front windows to reduce traffic noise.
To replicate the bespoke architrave interior and exterior, our skilled surveyor took extensive measurements and profile drawings. We then passed this on to a trusted local carpenter who produced the sections of architrave using hardwood. This was then primed and painted in-house, ready to be used during installation.
The installation went smoothly, and the result is a warmer, more secure and quieter home which looks unchanged from the street.
